The Magnificent Longhorn Beetles

This spectacular Longhorn Beetle (family Cerambycidae) from the island of Crete in the Mediterranean really lives up to his name. Those tremendous appendages are not really horns of course but antennae with which the insect can pick up the faintest of scents from the air.
