The Robber Fly

in Photography

This Robber Fly (AKA Assassin Fly), Cerdistus creticus, is endemic to the island of Crete in the Mediterranean. Despite his friendly Father Christmas appearance he's a fierce predator, catching his prey in flight.

Taken on a Nikon Coolpix S33 and edited with FastStone Image Viewer.
