New York Jets release WR Brandon Marshall

Former Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins, Chicago Bears and New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall, 32, has joined the free agent market on Friday as his request to be released by the New York Jets became a reality.

Marshall as a free agent now is setting his goal of playing wide receiver for a football team that is contention to make a playoff run in 2017.

Marshall who was a fourth round draft choice of the Denver Broncos in the 2006 National Football League Draft out of the University of Central Florida has never played in a playoff game in his 11 seasons in the league.

A report from The Baltimore Sun claims the Baltimore Ravens are interested in signing Marshall since the Ravens will not the services of Steve Smith Senior who retired from playing football at the end of the 2016 football season.

Marshall has a chance to prove to his new football team in 2017 that despiet his age, he still has some good mileage left in his football career.
