Once and for all, I am hoping president Duterte finishes this.

Jeremy Irons plays the big Templar evil man who uses his scientist daughter to conduct these experiments and give him the answer he needs: knowing where the original sin apple is hidden. Once obtained he reveals his purposes and his daughter feels betrayed.

Since the dark ages of the church, science has always been the opponent.

Still, nowadays in the Philippines the church tells people not to use contraceptive methods, so AIDS and teenage pregnancies are growing. This country is already in poverty and overpopulated and the church is adding more to that.

This film "Assassin's Creed" is about the fight for freedom of thought represented by the Muslim assassins and against the moral and laws of the church who want to keep people in darkness (these are the Templars with their cross).

The daughter is a scientist with passion and templar by inheritance, so the passion is stronger at the end. And she changes, she allows the Muslim Assassins to kill her father and recover the apple, saving the world from darkness and giving science and freedom a chance.

The search for the Apple

Because that is the fruit from the tree of knowledge, anyone who has it can allow humans to have freedom and science or live in the darkness through morals and law. I found it a risky and very intense argument and I wonder how come the church hasn't banned the film here in the Philippines!

Film 'Assassin's Creed', an Atheist shout out! Video-game film 'Assassin's Creed' has a very interesting message under it.

When I came to realize it's a brave shout out against the church and in favor of the freedom of thought of individuals, I finally liked the film. In the Philippines, we have some strange people who are both things at the time, a freethinker and a Catholic, which I find so funny because it's so opposed.

I Just came from watching film "Assassin's Creed" at Resorts World Manila. I was thankful that this time I was seated in the middle and wasn't bothered by the lights of the entry doors which they left open and with light for way too long last time I watched "Star Wars" there.

This is a spoiler article, so don't read further if you haven't seen the film

They get a modern day descendant of a legendary Muslim warrior and they inject the memory of his ancestor. This way they make him remember stuff - all towards learning where the original sin apple is hidden.

Bravo for the producers and director and writers who gave out a brave statement as this was a very nice surprise!

Yes, you read correctly, we are searching for the apple of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. Because that is the fruit from the tree of knowledge, anyone who has it can allow humans to have freedom and science or live in the darkness through morals and law. I found it a risky and very intense argument and I wonder how come the church hasn't banned the film here in the Philippines! They should have shot Spanish speaking scenes, using only Spanish actors. Try making English speaking actors say the Spanish lines?
