As a writer, my first story took me almost ten years to complete. You can imagine all the things, good and bad that happened during this long period of time. I specifically remember one occasion, I was very frustrated and close to giving up the whole project. Suddenly, I received an e-mail with this article from a close friend, called The Law of Plenty. Apparently, it was extracted and adapted from an old book. After reading, it definitely changed my perspective a lot.
To tell you the truth, it wasn't a magic recipe that gave me ideas and eased my long road I had ahead. But rather, it simply opened the barriers inside my mind.
In summary the article states that if you don't currently have the elements to pursue your dreams, you still have access to them in some way. It may be through raw materials or small ideas you already have, but haven't utilized yet.
I want to write a story, right? Well, I have an idea, a piece of paper and a pencil in front of me. What more do I need? Nothing, only time and the desire to do it. Is the story going to be good or average? Is it going to touch and inspire people? I don't know, and I'll never be able to find out, if I don't try.
For those of you who are in the same situation with your dreams right now, I definitely advice you to look for this article on line. (I can't reproduce it here, because is not mine). Maybe it is going to help you as helped me years ago.
